waah..grabe! wow! ka-tense..yesterday we had our song interpretation(contest) and it's our filipino project at the same time..

Fear overcame everyone of us,so medyo "nagkalat" kami.. :P

Before our presentation we had our bets already on who'll win in the contest for sure.Number one in our list is 2-Hosea..But they said that they're not the one who made the steps it was their adviser Sir. Agcaoilli (MAPEH teacher) and to other section it was just so unfair also to us.But they're really good.Second is 2-Isiah(carlynn's section) they're also good! compared to them we're simply nothing what else if we were compared to Hosea.. :(

huhu,.but we got to admit it.I was so mad&sad at the same time, coz' teaching and leading your section in front is not that easy as what it looks like.
But our student teacher in filipino made me realize that we're unique in a way that we didn't use any player for music to play instead we made use of our voices and guitars..and he also made us proud of our performance.he told us that if we weren't scared we may have won even 3rd place. He removed the feeling of being mad in my heart,he made me feel relaxed and happy..While listening to what he's saying tears came to me eyes..(of course I wipe 'em away i don't want anyone to see me crying)

Being a participant in the contest is another experience for me in being a choreographer of a section..
Another memory was added not only in my mind but also in my heart..

Glitter Facts!!

"glitter" = the quality pf sparkling brightly

Glitter is usually made of metallic flakes

Gary Glitter was a popular rockstar in the 1970's!

'Glitter Rock' was a type of rock music popular in the 1970's... rockstars wore lots of glitter make-up, shiny outfits and huge sparkly platform boots!

Christmas decorations are usually covered in glitter to resemble snow sparkling!

Mariah Carey starred in a movie called 'Glitter'. It's famous for being very, very bad.

Snowdomes commonly have glitter in them to resemble snow when shaken.

Glitter is used in many types of arts and crafts to add brilliance, sparkle and shine.

Underground caves that appear to glitter get this affect from calcite crystals.

Glitter can be used in many items to enhance their appearance, such as fabrics, cosmetics, glass, plastics, paint, paper, and ornaments.

Nail varnish and lip-glosses commonly use glitter to add an extra sense of glam!

"All that glitters is not gold" is an old English proverb meaning that not everything is always as it seems!

Gold never tarnishes or rusts because it doesn't react to oxygen (which causes other metals to rust).

A single ounce of gold can be drawn into a wire five miles long, because it's so maleable.

Gold is used in everything from space suits and firefighters helmets to arthristis treatments and computer components!

To attain the highest achievement in something is often referred to as a 'glittering prize'.

Celebrities who attend lots of parties and glamourous functions are often referred to as 'the glitterati'.

Pamper yourself with this idea..

Make your own groovy Chocolate Lip Gloss!

What you?ll need:
-Vaseline
-Powdered cocoa mix
-Small pot to put it in!

Procedure:

You might need Mum's help with this one, as you'll need to use the microwave, and the Vaseline will get hot.

Place the desired amount of Vaseline in a glass bowl in the microwave, and heat for 30 seconds. Take it out and give it a stir. Continue to do this until the Vaseline is fully melted.

Next, add the cocoa powder (experiment with how 'chocolatey' you want your gloss!) to the Vaseline, and stir well. Put the mixture back into the microwave for another 30 seconds. Stir again. Set aside to cool.

Once your mixture is cool enough to handle, spoon it into your 'lip gloss pot' and pop it into the fridge for a short while to set. You can use all sorts of things for a 'lip gloss pot' - your Mum might have an old eyeshadow pot that's empty. Or your Dad might have a small plastic pot for fishing tackle! You can also buy small plastic make-up pots at your local chemist. Use your imagination!

It's now ready to use!

You can play around with this - here are some fun ideas!
- Use powdered fruit juice like Tang to make yummy fruity lip gloss!
- Add some shimmery eyeshadow for pretty colour!
- Add some glitter for an amazing sparkly effect!
- Add Vanilla Essence for yummy vanilla tasting gloss!
- Make a few pots to give to friends as presents!
- Add some strawberry essence for yummo berry smell and taste! (Idea from TG reader Candice Graham!)

Have fun! Let us know how you went with your own creation!

There's nothing more relaxing than a nice soak in a warm bathtub, especially when you've got lovely bath salts to help you unwind. Their soothing scents make your cares wash away, and the therapeutic actions of the salts ease tired muscles!

Here we give you a few easy-peasy recipes for some fab bath salts - perfect for yourself, or to make as a prezzie for someone special who needs a treat!

Basic But Pretty Bath Salts

You will need:
3 cups (total) of a few different types of salts (from table salt to sea salt).
Dried flowers or flower petals.
Essential oil such as rose, lavender etc

Roses

To make:
Combine the different salts. Using different types is so that they range in size from a fine texture to coarse. The different textures make this recipe look very glam! Sprinkle in some flower petals for colour. They will also float in the water making the bath look pretty! Add a few drops of essential oil, stirring to test for 'smell strength'.

Allow to dry thoroughly, then store in pretty jars ready for gift-giving!

Try these other Bath Salt recipes:

Fizzy Roses
A fizzy treat that's totally pretty too!

You will need:
1 cup baking soda
3/4 cup citric acid
3 Tblsp cornstarch
1/2 cup sea salt
A handful of lightly crushed dried rose petals

nasturtiums

To make:
Combine all of the above ingredients, mix well and allow to dry thoroughly. It's very important to keep ingredients totally dry or the 'fizzy' bit will start without you!

Store in jars.

Relaxing Bath Salts

For sleepy heads.

You will need:
2 cup sea salt
2 cup baking soda
5 drops lavender scented oil
A handful of lavender buds

impatiens
To make:
Combine all of the ingredients and mix well. This may appear to form clumps due to the liquid content, but you can just use a fork to break up the lumpy bits! You can add 4 tablespoons of liquid glycerin for extra moisturising, but it's not essential.

Allow to dry them store in jars!

Bubbly Glitter

For a totally glam bath-time!

You will need:
2 cups sea salt
1 cup table salt
2 Tblsp glitter
A few drops of essential oil
1/4 cup of baby shampoo

pansy

To make:
Combine the salts, glitter and oil and stir until the texture is smooth. Drizzle with the baby shampoo and then spread onto a greaseproof paper covered biscuit tray until you have an even layer. Allow to thoroughly dry out. This could take up to an entire day.

Store in a jar!

Top tips:
- These make great presents for friends, Mum, your Gran or anyone you know who needs a treat.
- You can change the types of petals or flowers used depending on what you or the person you are giving them to, likes best!
- Experiment with what essential oils you like best
- Package in decorative jars or 'bath tea bags' made out of muslin cloth tied with ribbon!
- Don't have a bath? You can use these as treats for your feet - just pop some into a tub of warm water and soak your tired tootsies!
- Great to make for school fetes
